“We’re excited to offer this e-learning to North America employees to enhance clarity and transparency around compensation at Freeport,” said Tiffany Gifford, Senior Director–Benefits and Compensation. “These efforts are important to building trust, attracting and retaining top talent, and promoting a fair and equitable workplace.”

At the heart of Freeport’s Proudly Creating Better Futures is a commitment to employee well-being and recognition, which includes equal pay for equal work to help ensure equity across all roles. For the past few years, the company has partnered with a third-party consultant to evaluate gender pay equity practices across its global operations. Each year, the analysis confirms fair pay practices.

To maintain equitable pay over time, Freeport continuously monitors and regularly reviews employee compensation. Any gaps are addressed through the annual compensation review, with results shared in the Annual Report on Sustainability. This helps drive transparency, foster an inclusive workplace and reinforce equitable pay practices.

“Our approach goes beyond compensation – it’s about creating a transparent, equitable and supportive environment where each employee understands their value, sees opportunities for growth and feels rewarded for their contributions to our company’s success,” Gifford said.
