The first of these beds marks the transition from validation trials to full-scale implementation, as the site continues improvements to its autonomous haulage fleet.<\/pee><!-- [et_pb_line_break_holder] -->        <pee>Schlam haul truck beds are lighter and more durable than traditional designs, allowing trucks to carry larger payloads, reduce maintenance, shorten dump-cycle times and improve the efficiency of autonomous haulage operations. The capacity of the Komatsu truck is more than 50 percent greater than a typical 260-ton class haul truck.<\/pee><!-- [et_pb_line_break_holder] -->      <pee>Team members representing Operations, Haulage, Loading, Safety, Information Technology, Training, Maintenance, Mine Engineering and Supply Chain gathered to witness the truck\u2019s deployment and learn about its performance capabilities. The celebration concluded with a catered barbecue lunch.<\/pee><!-- [et_pb_line_break_holder] -->      <pee>The site rolled out its first ultra-class trucks in December. The addition of the first two Komatsu trucks brings the total number of ultra-class trucks at Morenci to 10 through mid-August.
