Employees Celebrate Family, Freedom and the Fourth
Freeport-McMoRan employees, family members and the surrounding communities came together to celebrate the Fourth of July across the company’s North America sites.
There was something for everyone. Activities included water kickball, inflatable water slides and bounce houses, dive-in movies, disc golf, cookouts and parades spotlighting local businesses, youth organizations, and local police and fire departments. And, of course, there were fireworks displays near some sites.
“Our mining community celebrations are unforgettable,” said Christopher Svenson, Manager-Hydromet Plant at Bagdad (previously Health and Safety Manager), whose team participated in events hosted at the site. “It’s fantastic that the company sponsored our team to create a float, fostering teamwork and community spirit while celebrating our country’s independence.
“It does not get better than this.”
